As an experienced wedding planner I have always loved to mentor and support new wedding and event planners, Kate is one of those and last year when she joined the Isabella Weddings team I was keen to see her grow under my guidance. It was an ideal time as Kate could focus on our couples whilst I aimed my attention on finishing my book, teaching and on the writing side of my career. Kate has planned two weddings for me this Summer and both have been wonderfully successful.
Sadly now it is time that she spreads her wings and continues her training & learning journey on her own, she will be venturing out on her own and is starting her own wedding planning company, I offer her my support and thank her for her help during what has already been a very busy year!
The first wedding Kate planned for me was Susie and Rory’s wedding in June, here is what she had to say about it …
Susie & Rory’s wedding was on their family farm in the beautiful English countryside in a little village called Cholderton, they wanted a big family knees up, surrounded by wildflowers, fantastic food and fabulous cocktails. The wedding was take place in a meadow on the farm and the reception in the barns. When I first visited the Farm with Marie in 2015 the farm was very much a working farm with horses in studs and chickens wandering freely, the place was beautiful but there was so much work to do to make it a working venue, but I take my hat off to Susie & Rory, they put so much work in and they pulled it off, on the day the barns were beautiful.
We worked with the fabulous Peardrop London caterers and I have to tell you, not only was their food amazing and beautifully presented, they were absolute stars and helped in anyway they could. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to work with them again, look at these amazing canapés!
Sophie from Wild Abandon did an amazing job with using wildflowers from the farm and a few of her own to create such stunning floral arrangements in the barns, at the ceremony meadow and around the farm. Take a look at these!
Susie also wanted some fabulous cocktails with flair tenders and we used Coxtails and the guys were fab and all the guests really seemed to enjoy the drinks. The night ended with a great band Blue Juice and everyone danced the night away. It was such a beautiful day and even though the heavens opened a few times, we were lucky.
The second wedding Kate planned for me was George and Tusyan’s wedding, a beautiful, romantic yet fun and frisky wedding in the woods, here’s a sneak peek … more to come once we have those amazing images from Tasha at Ikonworks.
Well done Kate for pulling off such busy yet wonderful weddings on behalf of Isabella Weddings, we know the couples loved your hard work and enthusiasm.
