Hey Wedding Belle,
Come and meet a new friend of ours – Julie, from Traditional Ice Creams. Now I might be a little biased but as someone who lives mostly dairy free I love a small indulgence every now and then, ice cream is high up on the list and what better way to enjoy a treat than from a beautiful little trike served by this lovely lady!
Let’s find out more about her:
Q1 Tell us a little about yourself
I’m Julie and I live in a beautiful village in the heart of Hampshire with my Husband, Joe and four year old, Freddie, plus Poppy the Jack Russell and Oreo the cat!
Q2 What made you want to work in the wedding industry?
I got married ten years ago this year and we were lucky enough to have a perfect summer day – it would have been even better with ice creams but I didn’t know such things existed!!
Q3 What do your clients love about you and your work?
The tricycles are such an eye catching addition to any wedding and everyone loves Traditional, locally made Jersey Dairy ice creams and sorbets from Meadow Cottage – what’s not to love?! I am now also offering POPS – an adult twist on the ice lolly in classic champagne and Bellinis (peach and prosecco).
Q4 What do you think makes a good wedding?
A sense of fun and a relaxed wedding couple!
Q5 What’s been your favourite wedding so far?
A fabulous wedding at Stansted House where it was so hot the wedding guests were using my ice cream brolly for shade! The fabulous photo above from this wedding is courtesy of Chris Ison Photography.
Q6 What is your top tip for couples?
Remember to enjoy the day – the things that go wrong often make the best memories!! My bridesmaid nearly tripped me up going down the aisle in front of our friends which caused lots of laughter in the church and from me!!
Is there anything else you’d like to add to this interview or tell our followers?
I am now also doing sweet and savoury Crêpes which are a great idea for your evening food. www.crepebritain.co.uk
