A Mid Summer Night’s Dream Wedding

Happy New Year everyone! If you have just become engaged then huge congratulations to you, welcome to your planning journey! This last month has been fairly quiet as we slowed down for Christmas, having young children makes the whole festive season awesome and I love being able to take time off with them.

However in early December I was lucky enough to meet a new bride-to-be who is having a beautiful London wedding with a ‘Mid Summers Night Dream’ theme, this was very exciting for me as I love this chic, elegant, outdoors/inside feel and I wanted to share some of my findings when researching ideas for them. Choosing a theme is tricky and other people’s interpretations on this can mean your planner’s idea of a theme is different slightly to yours, so a mood-board is essential here I think so get on Pinterest guys and start researching what your style means to you!

Here are some of my fav images for this lovely theme …

For me a Mid Summers Night is about bringing the dreamy feel of the sunset outdoors inside, with tree slices, ivy, fairy lights and candles to create an enchanted garden feel almost without the wispy vintagey part.

I think a marquee with plenty of chance to be with nature is key for this theme, it means that you can throw up the sides of the tent and let the sunshine flow in …. gorgeous!
